STEER HUMUS
EarthWorks
Washed Steer Humus was developed as a quality, low sodium soil amendment.
This product has been leached and composted to produce a low-salt,
weed free humus.
Due
to its physical properties, this amendment helps to increase moisture
retention in landscape soils and provides the organic matter to the soil
which makes for a favorable growing environment.
It
is ideal for general soil preparation and plant pit backfill mixes.
Washed Steer Humus can also be used for topdressing new or existing
lawns, and for mulching into flower beds.
RATES
OF APPLICATION:
General
soil preparation: 2 cu.
yds. per 1,000 sq. ft. Rototill/spade
into the top 6-8".
Backfill
mix: 8 parts native soil
to 2 parts Washed Steer Humus:
Topdressing:
1 cu. yds. per 1,000 sq. ft. or 2 cu. ft. per 100 sq. ft.
